It is critical that CEPAs build confidence and knowledge on how to present the overall Value Acceleration Methodology to business owners and more specifically the importance of the Triggering Event and why every engagement should begin with this deliverable regardless of advisor type or discipline. Why? Because if the business owner starts with the Triggering Event, 70% of the time it results in action, thus more service opportunities for the advisors involved. Bottomline, the Triggering Event gets the business owner moving with momentum in the right direction. It starts with the right presentation and getting the owner to move from “yeah, yeah, yeah” to “I’m sorry, say that again,” realizing that there is a whole world that the owner does not know about in serving their family, employees, and leading their business.
